Kardashian Sisters File to Block Blac Chyna’s Name Trademark

The Kardashian sisters – Kourtney, Kim and Khloe – have filed notice to block Blac Chyna’s application to trademark the name “Angela Renee Kardashian.”

The Kardashian sisters, through their companies Kimsaprincess Inc., Khlomoney Inc., and 2Die4Kourt, argued the Kardashian companies would “suffer damage, including irreparable injury, to their reputation and goodwill,” in documents obtained by ET.
The sisters also claim they “own and control the rights in the Kardashian brand and related trademarks,” and pointed out they have endorsed a variety of products since 2007.
Records show the Kardashian sisters did not file their opposition until December 1.

Walter Mosley, an attorney representing Blac Chyna told People magazine, “For us this is going to be a clear case win, because it’s actually her name, it’s not a poaching…I hope it’s just a big misunderstanding, but I’m just proceeding as if it’s not and am going to do the best work I can for my client.”
Mosley added, “I’m going to zealously represent my client in a trademark we legally filed and a name that we feel like we own and need to legally protect.”
