Michael Jackson’s daughter, Paris, is not happy with the actor picked to play her father in an episode of Urban Myths.
Upon learning that white actor, Joseph Fiennes, would be playing the role of Michael, Jackson’s only daughter Paris took to Twitter to vent.
“I’m so incredibly offended by it,” the 18-year-old wrote. “It honestly makes me want to vomit.”
“It angers me to see how obviously intentional it was for them to be this insulting, not just towards my father, but my godmother Liz as well.” Source: SkyArts
The episode focuses on a story about a rumored car trip Michael, Elizabeth Taylor and Marlon Brando took out of New York following the 9/11 attack when all of the airports were closed. The story first appeared in Vanity Fair.
A representative for Sky Arts released a statement to Mashable saying, “‘Elizabeth, Michael and Marlon’ is part of the Sky Arts Urban Myths season which is a series of comedies that takes a light hearted look at unlikely stories involving a range of cultural and historical figures. Sky Arts puts the integrity of the creative vision at the heart of all its original commissions and casting decisions are made within the overall diversity framework which we have set.”
