Disney World Announces Opening Date for Orlando Parks

Disney World Orlando has been given the green light to set in place their reopening plan by the Orange County Task Force and will welcome guests back to the parks in July, pending Governor Ron DeSantis’ approval.
According to various media outlets, Disney World plans to begin a phased reopening on July 11 for its Magic Kingdom and Animal Kingdom parks. Epcot and Hollywood Studios will reopen on July 15.

Disney World, which has been closed since mid-March due to COVID-19, will implement various safety measures to help prevent the spread of the virus and ensure guests practice proper social distancing.
According to WESH Orlando, guests and employees must wear face masks and undergo temperature screenings before entering the parks.
The parks will operate at a reduced capacity and all firework displays, parades, or other events that create crowds will be canceled.
Each park will increase the number of hand sanitizing stations and expand contactless payments to reduce cash transactions.
According to the Orlando Sentinel, Disney is also developing a new reservation system that will help control crowds.
