Ben Affleck Reveals Rehab Stint for Alcohol Addiction

Ben Affleck revealed on Tuesday he recently spent time in rehab for alcohol addiction.
The father of three took to Facebook to share news of his rehab, writing, “I want my kids to know there is no shame in getting help when you need it.”
The 44-year-old actor revealed, “I have completed treatment for alcohol addiction; something I’ve dealt with in the past and will continue to confront. I want to live life to the fullest and be the best father I can be…”
Affleck also thanked his estranged wife, Jennifer Garner, writing, “I’m lucky to have the love and support of my family and friends, including my co-parent, Jen, who has supported me and cared for our kids as I’ve done the work I’ve set out to do.”
The actor spent time in rehab back in 2001 for alcohol addiction and Page Six recently reported he had spent time with a private nurse specializing in 24-hour-in-home detox care.
Affleck revealed this will be the first of many steps in his journey towards sobriety by writing, “This was the first of many steps being taken towards a positive recovery.”
