British Prime Minister Boris Johnson and fiancé Carrie Symonds welcomed their first-born child together last week and decided to name their son after two very important people.
According to CNN, the couple chose to name their son after two of the doctors who helped Johnson during his fight against the coronavirus in hospital last month. CNN reports Symonds shared the sentimental reason behind the name choice on her private Instagram account, revealing they named their son Wilfred Laurie Nicholas Johnson.
“Wilfred after Boris’ grandfather, Lawrie after my grandfather, Nicholas after Dr. Nick Price and Dr. Nick Hart – the two doctors that saved Boris’ life last month,” Symonds shared, before going on to thank the maternity team at University College Hospital in London.
“I couldn’t be happier. My heart is full,” the new mom gushed.
