Destiny’s Child member Michelle Williams is planning on walking down the aisle this summer with her fiance, Chad Johnson, after accepting his proposal on March 21.

According to People Michelle met Chad, who works as a pastor, at a spiritual retreat in March 2017, but the couple kept their romance under wraps until last summer.
“I was in a horrible, dark place,” Williams revealed to People about her desire to attend the spiritual retreat. “I just needed to go somewhere where I could get a message of hope and restoration, rejuvenation – get connected to God.”
Johnson told People he was feeling the same way, telling the mag, “When we met, both of us were in very similar places on a personal level. Michelle was coming off the heels of a really bad relationship, and I was just in a place of despair as well.”
