Ex-Rap Music Mogul Suge Knight Sentenced to 28 Years

Former 90’s rap mogul Suge Knight has been sentenced to 28 years in prison for the death of Terry Carter during a hit-and-run accident on the Straight Outta Compton movie set in 2015.
According to the Associated Press, Knight plead guilty to manslaughter charges earlier this month. Knight, who co-founded Death Row Records, was facing life in prison for Carter’s death and also one count of attempted murder of Cle “Bone” Sloan who was maimed after Knight reportedly struck the pair with his truck, according to the AP.
According to the Associated Press, Knight got into an argument with Cle “Bone” Sloan who was working as a consultant on the film Straight Outta Compton, which detailed the rise of rap group N.W.A. Surveillance video captured Knight backing his truck into Sloan at a burger joint near where the movie was being filmed. In the surveillance footage Knight then drove his truck forward into businessman Terry Carter, who later died from his injuries.
