‘Game of Thrones’ Breaks the Record for Emmy Nominations

The 2019 Emmy nominations have been announced and not surprisingly HBO’s Game of Thrones has been nominated. The HBO series has grabbed an astounding 32 nominations – breaking the record for the most Emmy nominations for any program in a single season.
Emilia Clarke and Kit Harington have both been nominated for lead actress and actor in a drama series.
Sophie Turner, Alfie Allen, Peter Dinklage, Lena Headey, Nikolaj Coster-Waldau, Maisie Williams, and Gwendoline Christie have also received nominations for in the supporting actor/actress category.
Meanwhile, Carice van Houten has received a nomination for an outstanding guest actress.
The hit show, again not surprisingly, has also received nominations for everything from cinematography and directing, to music composition and hair and makeup.
The 2019 Emmy Awards will take place on September 22 at the Microsoft Theater in Los Angeles.
