From super long straight hair, to choppy shoulder length lobs, to braids and ponytails, 2017 has a trend to suit everyone’s crowning glory. Although we are seeing a return to carefree, tousled hair – there is an emphasis on healthy looking locks. So remember to apply a heat-protectant spray before straightening, curling or blow-drying your hair.
Super Long Straight Locks

2017 will see super, long, straight and shiny hair – with a center part. Think Cher from the 1970’s. Such styles have been seen on Kim Kardashian and Rihanna of late, who have both been sporting super long extensions. The key to this look is a lack of layers, a defined center part and super shine.
Golden Blonde

The hottest hair color is Golden Blonde – a cross between a dark blonde and a light golden brown, depending on what light you’re in. If you have been wanting to go blonde, but afraid to make a really drastic change, this new hair-color trend will be just what you’re looking for.
High Ponytails

Super high ponytails have been spotted on all the fashion catwalks. Whether shiny and straight, or tousled and slightly messy – the ponytail is worn high up and tight. Added bonus is that a high, tight ponytail can make your face look tighter too equaling an instant face-lift!
Tousled Lob

It looks like medium length hair – also known as the lob – is here to stay for 2017. This year will see the hairstyle look even more tousled thanks to extra layers. Parts will stay centered, or will be flipped dramatically from side to side – think early 90’s side flicked bangs.
Minimal Waves

Wavy hair will be minimal with the trend leaning towards light curls, or waves created by a flat iron. Ends of the hair will be straight with the waves being in the mid-section of the hair. This trend works best on a blunt cut lob.
Eye-skimming Bangs

Bangs are still on trend of 2017, but at eye-skimming length. Use balm to make the bangs appear pieced apart and slightly messy.
