Casey Gemmell knew she needed to make a change in her lifestyle. After looking at a picture of herself weighing 349 pounds during her son’s birthday party, Casey questioned how “I had let myself get to that point” and so began exercising by running three times a week and doing a zumba class once a week. But the busy Australian mom still felt “yuk” – and according to
Taste of Home, Casey then decided to take a serious look at her diet, which resulted in cutting out four food and drink items.
Casey decided that to continue her weight loss journey she needed to cut out cheese, pasta, bread and soft drinks from her diet and the results have been amazing. Casey has so far lost an incredible 155 pounds by exercising and eating healthy – and what’s more she is inspiring other women through motivational and brutally honest social media posts.
Recently Casey revealed on Facebook of her weight loss journey, “Way back when I started my journey I never really wanted muscles, I just wanted skinny…..it has taken me this long to realise I don’t want to be “skinny” not could I be if I tried (my thick luscious thighs won’t allow it) I want to be healthy, strong and sexy AF!!!”
While Casey’s transformation has been inspiring, she is keen to tell women to be realistic and to set realistic goals, telling Facebook fans, “I was born to be real – not perfect!”
