Kelly Osbourne is coming clean about relapsing after four years of sobriety, telling fans in a candid video, “I’m not proud of it, but I’m back on track.”
Osbourne, who had been sober since 2017, shared her relapse struggles during a series of Instagram Stories in which she revealed, “it is a little hard for me to talk about.”
“Hey guys, so this is a little hard for me to talk about but I’ve always promised you that I’d always be honest with you about where I’m at and what’s going on with my road to recovery,” the
Project Runway star shared.
“I relapsed. I’m not proud of it but I am back on track and I will be doing a podcast this week where I tell everyone what’s going on and what happened,” Osbourne promised.
“I just want to let you know that I am sober today and I’m going to be sober tomorrow but I’ve learnt it truly is just one day at a time and I just wanted to tell you guys the truth because I never ever want to lie to you,” the 36-year-old shared.
“Thank you so much for your support and your love and you’ll be hearing from me soon.”
Osbourne, who has been open about her battle with drugs and alcohol, told fans on her one-year anniversary of being sober, the only way she “knew how to function was to self medicate and go from project to project so I never had to focus on what was really going on with me.”
“I gave up on everything in my life but most of all I gave up on myself, Osbourne said of her spiral into addiction. “Life on life’s terms became to much for me to handle.”
