Kevin Smith is looking and feeling healthier than ever thanks to losing over 50 pounds!
Just one year ago Smith suffered a massive heart attack and that experience forced him to take a look at his health and make changes. After teaming up with WW (formerly known as Weight Watchers), Smith lost weight, embraced a healthier lifestyle and is now teaming up once again with WW to raise money for the American Heart Association.

It’s been almost exactly a year since my heart attack, when I was locked in a life-or-death battle with the “Widowmaker!” Since then, I’ve lost over 50lbs* with the help of @ww! I’m now forever changed by the healthy habits I gained in the process of reducing! So in honor of #HeartMonth, the good folks at #WW & I are supporting the @american_heart association with our #GetYourHeartOn campaign! ❤️ All you have to do to #GetYourHeartOn is take a picture of yourself making "heart hands” and share it from your public social media account with the hashtag #GetYourHeartOn. Then, tag 3 friends so they can their heart on, too. #ww will donate $1** to the American Heart Association for every post shared from now through 2/25/19. It’ll cost you a few seconds but can possibly help some hearts! So if you’re reading this, I now nominate YOU to #GetYourHeartOn! #KevinSmith #WWAmbassador #hearthealth [*People following the WW plan can expect to lose 1-2 lbs per week // ** up to $10,000]

Earlier last month Smith shared a before and after pic of himself showing just how much weight he has lost. Along with thanking WW, he also said going Vegan and participating in Runyon hikes helped him get in shape.
In an interview with US Weekly, the Silent Bob star went into further details about how suffering a heart attack forced him to change his eating habits, revealing, “You have to change your way of thinking about food. I used to eat to entertain, eat to reward. … I work hard all day or as hard as I work, do a lot of things and at the end of the night, hit the bed with a bunch of food and watch a movie. And for two hours, feed … and that’s late at night. It’s not like, then I got up and went running. I was sedentary and food was a reward. It made me feel happy, that was my entertainment.”
“You know, the secret’s simple. Eat green and it just falls off,” Smith told Us Weekly. “Like, the thing is for me … it’s the culture of eating. … We’re trained to believe that we have to eat three meals a day and stuff. And that’s just blatantly not true. And in terms of what a meal is, it changes all the time based on what we’re sold from the outside world like the food pyramid which changes periodically.”
