KFC Ditching “Finger Lickin Good” Slogan – For Now

While KFC’s chicken will always remain “Finger Lickin Good,” the fast-food chain has announced they will temporarily halt the use of its famous slogan as the coronavirus pandemic continues to spread around the globe.
As health officials continue to urge people to avoid touching their faces and to wash their hands frequently, touting anything to do with licking one’s fingers didn’t “feel quite right” with KFC execs. “We find ourselves in a unique situation — having an iconic slogan that doesn’t quite fit in the current environment,” said Catherine Tan-Gillespie, global chief marketing officer at KFC in a statement. “While we are pausing the use of It’s Finger Lickin’ Good, rest assured the food craved by so many people around the world isn’t changing one bit.”
The company revealed their famous slogan will return “when the time is right.”
