Lady Gaga Cancels Remaining Tour Dates

Lady Gaga, who suffers from fibromyalgia, has been forced to cancel the remaining dates on her Joanne World Tour due to “severe pain.”
Gaga, who has previously postponed the dates in 2017, revealed the remaining 10 dates of the European leg of the tour must now be cancelled as the pain has affected her ability to perform.

The singer posted a notice to her Instagram account, informing ticket-holders, “Unfortunately, Lady Gaga is suffering from severe pain that has materially impacted her ability to perform live. As a result, Live Nation and Lady Gaga are announcing the cancellation of the final 10 dates of the European leg of her Joanne World Tour.”
“Last night, with strong support from her medical team, Lady Gaga made the tough decision to immediately come off the road.” Fibromyalgia is a long-term condition that can cause chronic pain all over the body, according to various medical sites. It can also cause fatigue and muscle stiffness, along with difficulty sleeping, headaches, concentration problems and irritable bowel syndrome. Unfortunately the disease, which is believed to be related to chemicals in the brain and oftentimes triggered by an emotionally stressful event, affects women more than men. There is no cure for fibromyalgia, although there are lifestyle changes such as exercise, minimizing stress and dietary habits that can help sufferers with their many symptoms.
