Lifetime Releases Trailer for New Beaches Remake

The 1988 ultimate chick-flick, starring Bette Midler as CC Bloom and Barbara Hershey as Hillary Whitney, featured the hit song “Wind Beneath My Wings” which went to Number 1 on the Billboard 100 and won Song of the Year and Record of the Year at the 1990 Grammys. In the remake “Let it Go” songstress Idina Menzel will tackle Bette Midler’s famous version of the hit song, along with “The Glory of Love.” Source: Lifetime
The Lifetime version will feature the power vocals of Menzel as CC Bloom and Nia Long as Hillary Whitney – and just like the original it will follow the unlikely friends through the trials and tribulations of life, love, success and illness. It is set to air Saturday January 21 at 8pm on the Lifetime channel.
