The 2004 tear-jerker book P.S. I Love You is finally getting a sequel thanks to author Cecelia Ahern.
It’s been twelve years since Hilary Swank and Gerard Butler causes our hearts to break as couple Holly and Gerry in the 2007 movie of the same name and now fans of the original book will be able to read Holly’s next chapter in Ahern’s new book Postscript.
Ahern took to social media to share the exciting news, even revealing Postscript’s release date! “I hope you’ll welcome back Holly….& Gerry…& that reading it will be as emotional for you as it was for me,” Ahern shared on Twitter.
P.S. I Love You, which sold more than 25 million copies worldwide, followed the journey of Holly, who struggles with grief after her husband Gerry dies from a brain tumor. Throughout her journey she receives ten letters Gerry had written before he died, each ending with the words “P.S. I Love You.”
No news yet on whether there are any talks to turn Postscript into a movie sequel to P.S. I Love You, but we are keeping our fingers crossed!
