Paul McCartney Returns to His Roots With Exclusive Performance

Sir Paul McCartney has returned to his Liverpool roots with an exclusive performance at The Cavern Club. Credited with being the birthplace of The Beatles, Liverpool’s Cavern Club hosted the fab four on a regular basis during their early career years, with the famous group playing at the location over 290 times! Sir Paul, who sat down with Pulp frontman, Jarvis Cocker, for a question and answer session at the Liverpool Institute of Performing Arts, let slip he would be participating in a “secret gig somewhere in Liverpool.”

Paul will play @cavernliverpool today at 2pm. Space is EXTREMELY limited. Tickets will be made available for free from the #EchoArena Box Office from 10am this morning on a first come, first served basis. Tickets are strictly limited to one per-person and photo ID will need to be shown at the Box Office. Lucky fans will be issued with a wrist band and a personalised printed ticket. 🎤 For entrance into The Cavern you will need photo ID, the wristband and personalised ticket. Tickets are non transferable and void if transferred. No tickets will be available from The Cavern. 🎤 The queue for entrance into The Cavern will open at 12 noon. Doors scheduled to open at 1PM. Tickets to the gig were offered for free on a first come, first serve basis.
The Cavern Club has hosted iconic groups such as Queen, The Rolling Stones, Elton John, The Kinks and Black Sabbath over the years, according to Metro.
