Sabra Pulls Hummus in Huge Recall

If you’re planning on chowing down on some Sabra Hummus over Thanksgiving, you may want to check the expiration date.
Sabra has announced they are voluntarily recalling their hummus products over concerns of possible listeria contamination.
The products, all with an expiration date of January 23, 2017, or earlier, does not include Sabra’s organic hummus line, salsa, guacamole, or Greek yogurt dips.
According to the FDA listeria was identified at the manufacturing facility, but not in the finished product. As of the time of this article no illnesses have been reported.
Listeria is a serious infection, primarily affecting older adults, pregnant women, newborns and those with weakened immune systems. Symptoms include fever, muscle aches, stiff neck, gastrointestinal issues and headache.
