‘Siegfried and Roy’ star Roy Horn has been diagnosed with the coronavirus, but is responding well to treatment, the magician’s rep told the Las Vegas Review-Journal.
The legendary Las Vegas entertainer, who was one-half of the “Siegfried and Roy” duo had his career cut short in 2003 when he was mauled by one of the tigers featured in their magic act. Roy suffered life-threatening injuries, which left him partially paralyzed.
A rep for Horn confirmed Roy is battling COVID-19, telling the Las Vegas Review-Journal, “We can confirm that Roy Horn has tested positive for the virus that causes COVID-19 and is currently responding well to treatment. Most importantly, Siegfried and Roy send positive wishes to everyone impacted by the pandemic. We will have no further comment on Roy’s recovery at this time and ask everyone to respect his right to privacy.”
