The busy mom-of-three credits working out and dieting with maintaining her slim physique, and according to People, Kelly follows a strict high-alkaline diet. The 5 ft. 3 inch star eats a diet full of veggies, including beets, broccoli, kale, kiwi, bell pepper and cucumber and avoids acidic foods like sugar, yogurt and fish.
People shared a throwback to a conversation Kelly had on her show back in 2015, where she shared how her diet helps her keep in tip top shape.
“It’s changed my life, it’s changed the way I feel about food,” Kelly revealed after embarking on seven-day cleanse under the guidance of celebrity nutritionist Dr. Daryle Gioffre.
“It’s a very manageable cleanse. You’re not hungry…I actually eat more on this cleanse than I do in my actual life, but it’s what you eat and how you eat it.” “The alkaline diet is primarily a vegan diet,” Kelly shared with People in 2015. “But I like cream in my coffee. I like to have a glass of wine. So, I don’t adhere to it strictly, but when I do a cleanse, it will be seven days, and then I go back to my normal life. But my normal life, like I said, is not that different than the alkaline cleanse.”
