A 26-year-old woman is so fed up with waiting for her boyfriend of eight years to propose, she is taking him to court.
According to the Daily Mail, Gertrude Ngoma from Zambia decided to take legal action against her 28-year-old boyfriend, Herbert Salaliki, after she claims he promised he would pop the question but failed to do so.
“He has never been serious, that is why I bought him to court because I deserve to know the way forward and our future,” the Daily Mail reports Ngoma as telling the court.
The Daily Mail reports Ngoma, who shares one child with Salaliki, has asked the court to demand he outline his plans for their future together. The fed-up wannabe bride is also questioning Salaliki’s loyalty after allegedly catching him texting another woman.
In his defense, her betrothal-shy boyfriend says money is a factor in his inability to pop the question, with the Daily Mail reporting Salaliki wants to propose but can’t afford to and claim they don’t communicate as a couple because Ngoma doesn’t pay him enough attention.
