Mariah Carey Bids Farewell to James Packer’s Engagement Ring

It was a whopper of an engagement ring that cost Australian billionaire James Packer a reported $10 million. Sadly, the engagement between Packer and Mariah Carey wasn’t meant to last and the pop diva has reportedly sold the 35-carat sparkly stunner to a Los Angeles jeweler for $2.1 million.

According to Page Six, Mariah’s publicist did not directly verify the rumors the star had offloaded the Wilfredo Rosado designed bauble, but offered, “Mariah has been very vocal recently about her choice to move forward in her life surrounded by positivity. That requires leaving emotional and material baggage behind, including an old engagement ring from an ex-boyfriend.”
