After American Idol judge Katy Perry locked lips with a contestant on the show, the 20-year-old has described the kiss as “uncomfortable.”
What’s worse is saucy Katy stole something from the contestant that can never be replaced.
American Idol contestant Benjamin Glaze had actually never been kissed before – and was holding off on doing so until he found that special someone.
“I wanted to save it for my first relationship,” Glaze told The New York Times. “I wanted it to be special. Would I have done it if she said ‘Would you kiss me?’ No, I would have said no.”
Glaze told the Times he didn’t feel sexually harassed by Perry’s gesture – and she was egged on my fellow judges Luke Bryan and Lionel Richie – however Glaze revealed he was raised in a conservative home and he immediately felt “uncomfortable” during the kiss.
“I wanted my first kiss to be special,” Glaze sadly told the Times.
Not only did Glaze receive an unwanted smack on the lips from Katy, he also didn’t make the cut, but Glaze told The New York Times he is is discounting Perry’s kiss as a first, saying, “It was lip contact versus a romantic situation with someone you care about. That’s what a real first kiss is.” Perry received some backlash on social media following the smooch, with many wondering how people would have reacted if it were a male judge kissing a younger female contestant.
