Beloved TV Dad Alan Thicke Passes Away

Alan Thicke was known not only for his acting skills, he was also a successful talk show and game show host and wrote theme tunes to many popular TV shows, including “The Facts of Life” and “Diff’rent Strokes.”

Condolences poured in from celebrities across Hollywood for the actor, who was known for his keen sense of humor and warm personality.
Kirk Cameron, who played Alan’s son on “Growing Pains” posted a throwback pic of the two, writing “I’m shocked and truly heartbroken today at the news of his death…I am so blessed to have grown up with him.”

I spent Monday through Friday for seven important years with Alan Thicke as my "TV dad." I'm shocked and truly heartbroken today at the news of his death. Alan was a generous, kind and loving man. I am so blessed to have grown up with him. Chelsea and I send our love and prayers to his family tonight. We will cherish the memories… "sharing the laughter and love."
