Hallmark Channel Ditches Lori Loughlin Over College Admissions Scam

The Hallmark Channel has revealed they are cutting ties with actress Lori Loughlin over her alleged involvement with a college admissions cheating scam.
According to the AFP, the channel, renowned for its heartwarming movies and shows, released a statement saying they were “saddened” by the allegations.

We are saddened by the recent news surrounding the college admissions allegations. We are no longer working with Lori Loughlin and have stopped development of all productions featuring Lori on the Crown Media Family Network channels — including #GarageSaleMysteries. pic.twitter.com/VDisz1J3SU

Hallmark Cards Inc. says it will no longer be working with Loughlin, who has been a long-time star of the Hallmark Channel’s popular Christmas movies and stars in their Garage Sale Mysteries and are halting any current productions involving the former Full House actress.
Loughlin is accused of paying bribes in the amount of $500,000 to get her two daughters accepted as recruits for the rowing team at the University of Southern California even though neither daughter participated in the sport.
Loughlin and her husband, fashion designer Massimo Giannulli, are amongst a group of wealthy parents – including actress Felicity Huffman, implicated in the massive college admissions fraud investigation.
