Researchers at the Eastern Virginia Medical School in Norfolk found that consuming two to three cups of white tea daily helped flush excess water and keep belly bloat at bay.
The combination of water, caffeine and polyphenols in a cup of white tea helped signal the hypothalamus to suppress the production of vasopressin – the pesky hormone that tells the body to retain fluid.
Sipping white tea helps the kidneys to increase urine production, which results in a flatter tummy.
Not only is white tea great for a streamlined belly, it’s also packed full of antioxidants, helps lower cholesterol, and contains flavonoids which can inhibit the growth of cancer cells. Best of all, it comes in many delicious fruity flavors!
