Bush's Beans
Bush’s Beans is asking fans to reimagine the iconic childhood rhyme about the magical fruit because the mighty legume deserves a better song.
Beans, beans the musical fruit, the more you eat… the rhyme begins, before elaborating on the legume’s tendency to cause gas.
Bush’s Musical Fruit Contest is calling on fans nationwide to create a new song that’s short, sweet and, most of all, hones in on the many bean-efits of beans. Those benefits include being high in plant-based protein and fiber, and being good for the soil they’re grown in, according to the company.
In our continuing efforts to elevate beans to their rightful place in the world, Bush’s wants to tap into the imagination of our bean lovers to help create a song worthy of the beautiful bean, Stephen Palacios, Senior Vice President of Marketing and Innovation at Bush’s, said in a statement. We’re in search of a modern version of a memorable classic created by the biggest bean fans, and we can’t wait to hear what they cook up!
From March 25 through April 18, fans can submit their updated bean song on Instagram or TikTok tagging @BushsBeans and using hashtag #themusicalfruitcontest. Submissions should celebrate beans and nod to all there is to love about the humble pantry staple.
One grand prize winner will receive a $10,000 cash prize, a lifetime supply of Bush’s Beans, and a trip to Nashville, where they will see their song played on a videoboard during intermission at the Grand Ole Opry. They’ll also get a hosted backstage VIP experience, an Opry and Ryman Auditorium tour, recording studio time and more.
Four first-prize runners up will receive $5,000.
