Campbell’s on Thursday launched a limited-edition Grilled Cheese and Tomato Soup ahead of National Grilled Cheese Day on April 12.
In a nod to the iconic pairing of grilled cheese and tomato soup, Campbell’s infused its classic tomato soup with the flavor of a grilled cheese sandwich. The soup can be prepared with water for a more tomato flavor, or with milk to amp up its cheesy notes.
The new small-batch soup is the first limited-edition flavor offering from Campbell’s.
Grilled cheese and tomato soup has always been perfect together. It is a classic pairing for all generations, and it has drawn increasing fandom in recent years, Gary Mazur, Vice President Soup and Broth, Campbell’s Meals and Beverages division, said in a statement. Nothing can top the greatness of a grilled cheese sandwich dunked in Campbell’s Tomato soup. As we developed our first ever limited time only condensed flavor, it was the clear choice.
Between now and March 20, Campbell’s will be giving away 412 cans of its Grilled Cheese and Tomato Soup in honor of National Grilled Cheese Day on 4/12. Fans can enter to win a free two-pack at CampbellsGrilledCheeseAndTomatoSoup.com.
The soup will also be available soon at select grocery stores.
