Fashion brand Diane von Furstenberg is laying off employees and closing all but one store in a move towards a “digital-only, China-focused” business model, People reports.
The struggling fashion brand, which was founded in 1972, is laying off 75 percent of its 400- person staff and will close 17 of its 18 retail stores.
According to People, the news comes after “several rounds of restructuring within the company and years of sales decline” that has only worsened due to the coronavirus pandemic.
