KFC on Wednesday announced it’s bringing Chizza to menus in the U.S. for the first time after it proved to be a smash hit internationally.
The KFC Chizza, which features two white meat Extra Crispy fried chicken filets topped with marinara sauce, mozzarella cheese and pepperoni, will be available for a limited time starting on Feb. 26.
Fried chicken and pizza collaborated to create something even better – the Chizza, Nick Chavez, CMO of KFC U.S., said in a statement. The fan-favorite mashup is finally available in the U.S. after making its way around the world – try it while you can!
The Chizza originally launched in the Philippines in 2015, and has since been offered in Korea, Taiwan, India, Thailand, Germany, Spain and Mexico and other countries.
To celebrate the Chizza’s U.S. debut, KFC will turn its location at 242 E 14th Street in New York City, America’s pizza capital, into a Cizzareia pop-up Feb. 23-Feb. 24 so fans can get an early taste before it rolls out nationwide.
