Magician Crowned Champ on America’s Got Talent

Magician Shin Lim has won season 13 of America’s Got Talent.
The 26-year-old magician drew praise from the judges throughout the season, with Howie Mandel and Simon Cowell both calling him the best close-up magician they had ever seen. Lim wowed the audience and judges with his final performance where he carried out a close-up card trick with AGT host Tyra Banks and American Ninja Warrior co-hosts Akbar Gbaja-Biamila.
“When you told me at 16 that an awkward, shy kid would one day be performing at the Dolby Theatre, performing on America’s Got Talent, I wouldn’t have believed them. To compete on AGT it means the world to me,” Lim said following the win.
In addition to being crowned winner of the talent show, Shin Lim also takes home a $1 million prize and a performance gig at the Paris Theater in Paris Las Vegas from November 2 – 4.
