Miley Cyrus has revealed she is one of the many people who have lost their home to the Woolsey Wildfire currently burning through mass sections of California. The singer took to Twitter over the weekend to share the devastating news with followers in a series of tweets, in which she urged people to donate money, time and supplies.
“Completely devestated by the fires affecting my community,” Miley wrote. “I am one of the lucky ones. My animals and LOVE OF MY LIFE made it out safely & that’s all that matters right now. My house no longer stands but the memories shared with family & friends stand strong. I am grateful for all I have left.”
“Sending so much love and gratitude to the firefights and LA county Sheriff’s department!” Miley told fans, before tweeting out different websites people can visit to donate money and supplies to organizations such as the Red Cross and United Way.
As the Woolsey and Hill Fires continue to burn across Southern California, it is estimated an approximately 260,000 residents in Los Angeles and Ventura Counties have been forced to evacuate with other celebrities, including Gerard Butler, Caitlyn Jenner and Neil Young also losing their homes to the inferno. Other stars were forced to evacuate their homes, with Kim Kardashian-West tweeting, “I heard the flames have hit out property at our home in Hidden Hills but now are more contained and have stopped at the moment. It doesn’t seem like it is getting worse right now, I just pray the winds are in our favor. God is good. I’m just praying everyone is safe.”
