The new offerings come from the Kraft Heinz Not Company, a joint venture between Oscar Mayer parent company Kraft Heinz and NotCo, which specializes in plant-based foods.

According to the company, the U.S. plant-based market is projected to skyrocket from $8.3 billion in 2023 to $19 billion by 2030. But existing plant-based hot dogs and sausages have remained unpopular due to disappointment in existing offerings taste and texture.
“At The Kraft Heinz Not Company, our goal is to create mouthwatering, plant-based foods that are delicious and accessible for everyone — from the devoted vegan to the plant-based curious,” Lucho Lopez-May, CEO of the Kraft Heinz Not Company, said in a statement. “We know people are hungry for plant-based meat options from brands they know and trust. In launching the joint ventures first product in the plant-based meat category, we saw an opportunity to satisfy these consumer cravings, leveraging NotCos revolutionary AI technology and the power, equity, and legacy of the Oscar Mayer brand.”
The new NotHotDogs and NotSausages will debut at Expo West from March 12–16, and will roll out to major retailers nationwide later this year.
The Kraft Heinz Not Company in November released the first plant-based Kraft Mac and Cheese, and before that introduced NotCheese Slices and NotMayo.
At the time, the company said it was motivated to release a plant-based version of America’s most iconic mac and cheese brand because research showed that taste and texture were pain points for consumers, despite the fact that plant-based macaroni and cheese products were outpacing the overall category by more than six times.
