PepsiCo is recalling certain Schweppes Zero Sugar Ginger Ale products because they were found to contain full sugar, according to a notice posted earlier this month by the U.S. Food and Drug Administration.
The company voluntarily initiated the recall last month after an internal investigation discovered some Schweppes Ginger Ale product labeled as zero sugar in fact contained full sugar.
The recall includes 233 cases of 7.5-fluid-ounce cans of Schweppes Zero Sugar Ginger Ale Caffeine Free shipped to Maryland, Pennsylvania and West Virginia.
The recalled cases have the code May 20 24 MAY20240520VS02164 – MAY20240550VS02164.
The notice posted by the FDA did not indicate whether the recalled products had been removed from store shelves.
