Trisha Yearwood managed to raise over $30,000 thanks to fans who joined her in donating money to rescue pets as part of the Betty White Challenge – and $24k of that was raised in just 15 minutes!
The country superstar took to social media to express her gratitude, telling fans, “Seriously, thank you for being a friend and doing the #BettyWhiteChallenge with me! We raised over $24k in 15 minutes and donations are still coming in!” Yearwood took part in the Betty White Challenge to raise money for the Dottie’s Yard Fund – a charity she started in 2021 to honor her late dog, Dottie.
The Betty White Challenge started shortly after legendary actress Betty White passed away on December 31. It honors White’s lifelong crusade to helping animals by asking the public to donate to an animal rescue or charity on January 17 – the date Betty White would have celebrated her 100th birthday.
