Former Bachelor, Chris Soules, has broken his silence following his involvement in a hit and run accident that claimed the life of a farmer.
The accident occurred in Soules’ Iowa hometown. Soules was behind the wheel of his truck when he crashed into a tractor being driven by 66-year-old farmer, Kenneth Mosher. It was reported Soules called 911 from the scene of the accident and checked the victim’s pulse before fleeing on foot. He was arrested hours later at his home.
Soules was released on $10,000 bail and charged with leaving the scene of an accident with death. There are also reports stating alcohol was found in Soules’ truck.
The popular Bachelor star broke his silence and released a statement to In Touch saying, “My family and I are overwhelmed with this tragedy, but we are sticking together and we’ll get through it. Thank you for reaching out.”
Soules is scheduled to appear in court on May 2. He has deleted all of his social media accounts following the arrest.
