The O.C. may be in for a treat if two of the show’s actresses get their way!
Rachel Bilson, who played Summer Roberts, and Melinda Clarke, who played Julie Cooper on the show, which ran for four seasons from 2003 to 2007, revealed on
Entertainment Tonight they would both be down for a reboot.
The duo, who interviewed each other on
Entertainment Tonight for their upcoming
Welcome to The OC, Bitches! podcast, shared “a reboot would be awesome.”
“I know we talked about definitely getting together personally, as a reunion … all of us getting together,” Bilson, 39, said during the interview. “I think we have spoken to some already, everyone’s onboard for that.”
“But a reboot would be awesome,” she continued. “I think that’s in the hands of Josh Schwartz and Stephanie Savage [creators and executive producers]. There’s still a ways to go, so maybe they’ll figure it out! That’d be fun.”
The podcast,
Welcome to The OC, Bitches!, will feature “former cast members, writers, musicians, and many people that made The O.C. the cultural phenomenon that it is today” the duo revealed.
“Grab your bikinis, your Juicy jumpsuits, and your flip phones because every Tuesday, we’re going back to the early 2000s,” Bilson told fans in a promo for the upcoming podcast.
