Leslie Jones Leaving ‘Saturday Night Live’

SNL is losing one of its biggest stars with Leslie Jones announcing she will not be returning for the show’s upcoming 45th season.
According to TVLine, NBC has yet to comment on Jones’ exit, however, a source revealed the comedian is leaving to concentrate on other opportunities, such as her upcoming Netflix stand-up special. Jones has been an SNL staple since 2014 when she joined the show as a writer and has earned three Emmy nominations during her five-season stint.
According to People, the 51-year-old will focus on her Netflix special which is set to air in 2020. Jones is also set to star in The Angry Birds Movie 2, where she will play the evil villain Zeta.
