Use Shampoos and Conditioners Designed for Blonde/Color Treated Hair
Choose your shampoo and conditioner duo wisely and invest in products specifically designed for blonde color treated hair. Better still look for products that are sulfate-free to prevent the color from fading.
Use a Clarifying Shampoo
To help keep highlights from fading use a clarifying shampoo every couple of weeks to help strip out dulling impurities from the hair. You can also rinse with distilled water for extra help.
Use a Purple Toner
Reflect the Light
Blonde highlights can look shinier and brighter if you use shine spray. Simply spray your hair with the spray after you have finished styling.

Moisturize
Moisturizing treatments are a must for highlighted hair and fortunately there are a plethora of products you can use at home. To make hair extra shiny and healthy follow up on your deep conditioning treatment with a DIY vinegar rinse. Simply mix half water and half vinegar together and add a few drops of peppermint essential oil to cut the vinegar smell. After you have conditioned, rinse the hair with the vinegar rinse and style as normal. Start using a conditioning hair masque as part of your weekly ritual.View this post on InstagramA post shared by XANA HAIR SPA (@xanahairspa) on

If you notice your highlights turning brassy use a purple toning shampoo. The lilac color counteracts with the orange to help tone down any brassy hues.
