She won the first ever season of American Idol back in 2002 and now Kelly Clarkson may be returning as a judge in the newly revamped ABC version of the hit reality talent show set to premier in 2018.
According to TMZ Clarkson is “the network’s number one choice to be judge” and apparently Kelly’s team are already clearing her schedule to make it work.
TMZ also reported Katy Perry is keen to fill a role as a judge on the show. Perry is already familiar with American Idol having appeared as a guest judge on the ninth season of the then Fox network show in 2010.
Naturally, all American Idol fans are hoping Ryan Seacrest returns to host the show and although Seacrest’s camp haven’t released any formal comment, TMZ reveals he is “almost certainly” going to host again.
