LEGO Launches First 2 LEGO Islands Experiences In Fortnite

LEGO on Tuesday announced the launch of two new experiences within the video game Fortnite, and said it will launch more LEGO-themed Fortnite experiences throughout the year.
LEGO Raft Survival and LEGO Obby Fun are the first in a series of Fortnite play experiences dubbed LEGO Islands. Created using the Unreal Editor for Fortnite (UEFN), the kid- and family-friendly experiences are available to play now.
We’re thrilled to introduce players to the first of our creative and fun LEGO Islands series of play experiences within Fortnite, said Kari Vinther Nielsen, Head of Play & Creator Growth at LEGO GAME. The power of UEFN, in the hands of our creative teams, is what makes these experiences possible and allows us to expand new genres across Fortnite, infused with LEGO play. We can’t wait to introduce even more as the year goes on – this is only the beginning!
LEGO Raft Survival is a multiplayer problem-solving game featuring the classic LEGO Pirates theme, with Blackbeard challenging players to keep their raft afloat. Players must collect wood and treasure, build more rafts, and dodge cannon balls shot by the Barracuda Ship to survive.
LEGO Obby Fun is an obstacle course inspired by LEGO themes including LEGO Friends, LEGO City, LEGO NINJAGO and LEGO DREAMZzz, with brick-built platforms designed by LEGO designers. Players spawn randomly into a section of the climbing and problem-solving course, which features hot dogs, pizzas, unicorns and more.
Last year, the LEGO Fortnite survival crafting game was launched, marking the start of the partnership between Epic Games and the LEGO Group.
LEGO Islands will build on that partnership, with more LEGO-themed experiences, gameplay features, and LEGO Style Outfits arriving throughout 2024.
